Originating in Denver, Colorado, Aleja was born to be an artist and nurturer. Since childhood, Aleja has been exploring and practicing in a multitude of mediums including illustration, painting, sculpting, writing, dancing, acting, crafting, and tattooing.

Always drawn to the natural world, Aleja began her path in the healing arts at the young age of 17 while attending high school for dance.

Inspired by her indigenous heritage, Aleja moved to New Mexico in 2016 to form a stronger connection to her roots, and become acquainted with the rich artistic culture across the Land of Enchantment.

Today, Aleja lives in Albuquerque with her daughter and works as an artist, educator, Certified community herbalist and Certified INNATE Postpartum Care Provider.
