Originating in Denver, Colorado, Aleja was born to be an artist. Since childhood, Aleja has been exploring and practicing in a multitude of mediums, including illustrating, painting, sculpting, writing, dancing, acting, crafting, and tattooing. Inspired by her indigenous heritage, Aleja moved to New Mexico in 2016 to form a stronger connection to her roots, and become acquainted with the rich artistic culture across the Land of Enchantment

Today, Aleja lives in Albuquerque with her infant daughter, attends the University of New Mexico (BFA), and works as an artist, as well as a Community Herbalist and, primarily, as a Certified INNATE Postpartum Care Provider.

After a decade of practice and study in the naturally healing arts, and twice that in the visual and performing arts, Aleja is proud to present, Las Ofrendas, Visual and Healing Arts.

Las Ofrendas is the one big and beautiful roof that houses all the many offerings, skills, and services that Aleja is known for.

For years, she has spent compartmentalizing these many gifts, but never feeling complete. With the birth of her daughter came plenty of change… and with it all, Aleja conceived the idea to accept a multifaceted, multidimensional approach to her life’s work.

Las Ofrendas is in honor of the oath to always work and give from her heart’s passion, and a promise to offer her daughter a beautiful, affluent life through her artistry.
