Aleja Grajeda
Certified innate postpartum care provider, doula, herbalist and artist
Originally from Denver, Colorado, Alexandra (aka Aleja) was born to be an artist, caretaker and land steward. Always drawn to the natural world, Aleja began her path in women’s healing arts at the young age of 17. Soon after graduating, Aleja entered apprenticeship with a master community herbalist, while exploring organic farming knowledge.
In efforts to connect more with her native Mexican heritage (half), Aleja moved to New Mexico in 2016, and soon entered further apprenticeship with a curandera from Mexico, several midwives, a master herbalist, and finally, the certification program at UNM for Holistic Health and Healing Arts.
Today, Aleja lives in Tiwa territory (otherwise known as Albuquerque) with her young daughter and works as an artist, educator, doula, herbalist, and Certified INNATE Postpartum Care Provider.”
