Certified Innate postpartum care
Aleja has been working as a Certified INNATE Postpartum Care Provider for the past six years in New Mexico. Her training with Rachelle Garcia-Seliga of Innate Traditions began in 2018; providing Aleja with the tools and knowledge to provide new mothers with holistic, quality care that tends to all physiological, and emotional needs.
Aleja’s intention in providing care is to open the possibility that early postpartum can be an enjoyable, life exalting experience- despite the high rate of postpartum depression in North America. She believes in the movement that many care providers and those in the birth field are becoming aware of- that postpartum care must be prioritized just as much as the prenatal and labor & delivery experience.
Services Provided
$100/day for 3-4 hrs of service at home: includes all services (except placenta medicine).
Services are also available to those experiencing miscarriage and abortion.
Closing of the Bones:
A traditional, cross cultural body work and ceremony to ground the new mother into her new body, encourage body alignment, gently massage the muscles and organs, and calm the mind and spirit.
It is suggested that new mothers receive at least two closings in the first six weeks of Postpartum time.

Moxibustion:
A Chinese medicine technique which brings healing and restoration the muscles and tissues, through the use of heat and burning Chinese mugwort. A very warm, relaxing treatment perfect for toning and healing the uterus postpartum.

Placenta Medicine:
Using the placenta to create a personal tincture that can last a lifetime. This can be done in home with the mother, ideally. The placenta is cleaned and placed in an alcohol tincture with other supportive herbs for 3-4 weeks. The tincture thereafter is used to regulate hormones and promote uterine healing. The package includes a placenta print, an umbilical ornament, the Mother Tincture, and two extra 1 oz tincture bottles.

Herbal Tea and Remedies:
Organic herbal remedies custom blended to fit a mother’s individual needs. Remedies include postpartum tea blends, milk supply remedies, sitz baths, and vaginal steam blend and instruction.
Individual Price: $7/remedy or $25 bulk supply
Food Preparing:
In home food preparation of the most optimum foods to deeply nourish a healing body, promote milk supply, and satisfy all dietary needs. Favorite postpartum foods include stews, soups, roasts, atole (warm corn cereal), cakes, and herbal chai.
Individual Price: $25/day of food supply
Home Tending:
Home care included in each postpartum care visit which includes third trimester home preparation, light house cleaning, light organizing, and baby care to relieve mothers for baths and meals.
